Abstract:
An air flow is processed after being compressed (at 6), cooled (at 5) and dried (at 3, 4) in a cryogenic distillation separation unit (1) producing a flow of nitrogen (at 7), and the oxygen-enriched residual gases (8) are partially conveyed (via 12) to the inlet of an adsorption separation unit (16) of which the outlet (22) substantially delivers oxygen. If the oxygen flow rate is too low, additional air is injected (at 24, 24'). If the oxygen flow rate is too high, the excess flow of residual gases in drawn off (at 25). This apparatus provides separate, fully adjustable nitrogen and oxygen flows at low cost.
