Abstract:
This combined air conditioning and refrigerating installation comprises: an air conditioner that has an outdoor unit for air conditioning comprising a compressor for air conditioning, and an indoor unit that air conditions a space to be air conditioned and is connected to the outdoor unit for air conditioning via piping; a refrigeration apparatus that has an outdoor unit for refrigerating comprising a compressor for refrigerating, and refrigeration devices that refrigerate objects to be refrigerated and are connected to the outdoor unit for refrigerating via piping; and an operation controlling device that controls the operations of the air conditioner and the refrigeration apparatus. The operation controlling device comprises: an operation monitoring unit that acquires the amount of power used by the air conditioner and the amount of power used by the refrigeration apparatus; a peak predicting unit that predicts peak power usage and peak times at which the total of the amount of power used by the air conditioner and the amount of power used by the refrigeration apparatus as detected by the operation monitoring unit is at a maximum; and an operation control unit for executing any of three processes for controlling operations, which are the process of implementing an operation of decreasing the operating frequency of the air conditioner during the peak times predicted by the peak predicting unit, the process of implementing a chilling operation for the refrigeration devices before the peak time, and the process of implementing a defrosting operation for the refrigeration devices before or after the peak time.
