Abstract:

The invention relates to a combined brake and clutch device for presses, comprising a central body (13,23,24) fixed to the driving axle (1), a stationary covering body (10) that can be coupled to the central body by means of a set of inserted multiple laminae (11, 12), and a covering body (20) fixed to the flywheel of the press and couplable to the central body by means of another set of inserted multiple laminae (21, 22). The central body (13,23,24) has two hydraulic chambers (61, 62) both with pistons (31, 32), a set of springs for separating the pistons (31, 32), and abutments (91, 92) for defining the course (31, 32). Three operative states can be achieved by pressurising one (51), both (61, 62) or none of the chambers: that is, the neutral point, the engaged state and the braked state, respectively.
