Abstract:
A combined broach for machining keyway includes a cylindrical broach bar(1). An axial extending groove(2) is provided on the broach bar(1) and the bottom of the groove(2) is parallel to the axis of the broach bar(1). There are numbers of isolated orientation holes(4) for pushing broaches in the horizontal direction distributed on the broach bar(1) from top to bottom. The axis of the orientation holes(4) for pushing broaches is perpendicular to the bottom of the groove(2). The orientation holes(4) for pushing broaches extend from the bottom of the groove to the surface of the broach bar. A pressing block(6) is provided in the groove and connected to the broach bar by screws. The pressing block(6) is formed to have an orientation side which mates the bottom of the groove tightly. A pushing broach(8) is mounted in each orientation hole(4) for the pushing broach tightly. The back end of each pushing broach mates the orientation side of the pressing block. The blade of each pushing broach(8) protrudes from the surface of the broach bar(1). The distance between the blade of a pushing broach and the orientation side of the pressing block increases gradually from the downmost pushing broach to the upmost pushing broach.
