Description:
A Combined Comb-Scissors Device for Hairdresser Description

TECHNICAL FIELD

The present invention refers to a combined comb-scissors device for hairdresser.

BACKGROUND ART

Hairdressers use a comb and scissors while they do a haircut to a customer. Usually, the hairdresser holds the comb in one hand and combs the customer for finding the line of hair cutting, then he holds this hair group with a pair of fingers of his other hand on that chosen line, put aside the comb, takes the scissors and cuts the hair group according to the line of the fingers that holds this group of hair. This action is cumbersome, time-consuming, and the cutting of the hair does not always match the intention of the hairdresser, since the straight line of the comb on the group of hair is not always kept by the pair of fingers. The present invention provides a good and efficient solution for these problems.

DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS The intention of the drawings attached to the application is not to limit the scope of the invention and its application. The drawings are intended only to illustrate the invention and they constitute only one of its many possible implementations.

THE INVENTION

The main object of the present invention is to provide a combined comb-scissors device that enables a hairdresser to holds the device in one hand, to combs the customer for finding the line of hair cutting and then cuts the hair group by the device according to the line of the device itself, that serves as a comb and as scissors.

The combined comb-scissors device (1) comprises a first part (2), a second part (3), an operation mechanism (4) and a handle (5).

The first part (2) comprises a core (21) and line of teeth (22) that projected vertically downwards from the core (21). The structure of the core and the teeth of the first part (2) are in general similar to cores and teeth of a standard comb. The inner side (23) of the core (21) includes a horizontal track (24). The side wall (25) of the core (21) includes a hole (26). The second part (3) comprises a core (31) and line of teeth (32) that projected vertically downwards from the core (31). The structure of the core and the teeth of the second part (3) are in general similar to core and teeth of the first part (2). The inner side (33) of the core (31) includes a horizontal track (34). The side wall The first part (2) and the second part (3) are designed to be assembled together in parallel position wherein the teeth (22) of the first part (2) are parallel to the teeth (32) of the second part (3). Therefore, the track (24) of the first part (2) should be compatible with the track (34) of the second part (3). The second part (3) is designed to slides horizontally relatively to the first part (2) along the tracks 24 and 34. The tracks 24 and 34 are designed in a way that enables a horizontal movement of the second part relatively to the first part, but does not enable them to separate during the usage. It is preferably that the distances between the teeth 22 and the teeth 32 will be the same. It is also preferably that the teeth 22 and 32 should be designed in a v shape and be made of metal. The inner vertical edges (221) (321) of the teeth 22 and 32 should be sharp in a way that they cut the hair during the horizontal relative movement between them.

The operation mechanism (4) is designed to tight and lock together the first part (2) and the second part (3) and to enable a relative horizontal movement between them. The operation mechanism (4) is also designed to operate the device (1) and to cause horizontal movement of the second part (3) relative to the first part (2). The operation mechanism (4) may include a spring (41), a pin (42), an activation handle (43) and a member support (44). The operation mechanism (4) may be designed in other ways that described in the present application, and the figures and the description depict an example of a possible structure of the operation mechanism (4) which is designed to serve as a mechanism to tight and lock together the first part (2) and the second part (3) and to operate the device (1) by causing that horizontal relative movement. The spring is positioned and locked in grooves (27) and (37) in the inner sides (23) and (33) of the cores (21) and (31). The member support (44) that includes a hole (441) is inserted through the hole 26 of the first part (2), the activation handle (43) that also includes a hole (431) is inserted through the hole 36 of the second part (3), and the pin (42) that is inserted through the holes 441 and 431 tight them together. In this position the spring (41) activates horizontal force that holds both the first part (2) and the second part (3) in a way that the teeth 22 and 32 correspond to each other. When the user pushes by his finger the activation handle (43) then the second part (3) moves horizontally and the teeth 22 and 32 cut the hair. When the user releases the activation handle (43) then the spring 41 brings the second part (3) to its initial position.

The handle (5) may be attached to the first part (2) for example, and may be even an integral part of it.

Figure 1 depicts the combined comb-scissors device (1) when the first part (2) in at the front. Figure 2 depicts the combined comb-scissors device (1) when the second part (3) in at the front. Figures 3 and 4 are exploded depictions of the combined comb-scissors device (1). Figure 5 depicts an enlargement view of a part of the second part (3). Figure 6 depicts the first part (2). Figure 7 depicts the operation mechanism (4) and its parts. Figure 8 illustrates the operation mechanism (4) when assembled. Figure 9 depicts the combined comb-scissors device (1). Figure 10 depicts an enlargement view of a part of the first part (2).
