Abstract:
In order to provide a combined oil control ring for an automobile engine which makes it possible to maintain excellent oil control without adhesion occurring between a spacer-expander and side rails even when an engine is operated for a long period of time, in a combined oil control ring comprising a pair of upper and lower side rails and a spacer-expander having ridge sections and valley sections formed therein in a wave shape in the axial direction, the ridge sections and the valley sections of the spacer-expander are configured from edge sections that press the inner circumferential surfaces of the side rails, protrusions that support the side rails, and intermediate sections between the edge sections and the protrusions. The intermediate sections facing the side rails comprise a protrusion, and the protrusions have a protruding shape in substantially the circumferential direction and in the radial direction.
