Abstract:
The present invention relates to a combined power and desalination system using unused heat and, more specifically, to a combined power and desalination system using unused heat, wherein surface ocean water, thermal effluents from power plants, and solar heat are used as an evaporation heat source to evaporate seawater by an evaporator, steam generated therefrom is used to produce power through a turbine-generator, and the steam discharged after used for the power production is produced into desalinated water through heat exchange with LNG.
