COMBINED STEAM AND GAS TURBINE ENGINE

In a combined steam and gas turbine cycle, a combustor is made high in pressure and huge in size to increase a pressure ratio, without exceeding a heat resistant limit temperature of a turbine, to enable increase of a fuel combustion mass to about four times to simultaneously raise a thermal efficiency and a specific power of the combined steam and gas turbine cycle sharply. Provided in an interior of a gas turbine combustor in a suitable manner are conducting tubes and steam tubes (6) to make a combustor and heat exchanger (4) for converting a major part of heat of combustion into energy of superheated steam to drive a steam turbine to form a combined steam and gas turbine cycle, whereby a pressure ratio is further increased to simultaneously raise thermal efficiencies of a steam turbine cycle and a gas turbine cycle and to enable increase of a fuel combustion mass to about four times (up to theoretical air fuel ratio), and the thermal efficiency of the gas turbine cycle is sharply raised to achieve increase of a specific power to attain raise of the thermal efficiency and specific power of the components including a magnetic friction power transmission device (14).
