Abstract:
In the present invention, a combustible gas that can be used as an alternative gas to acetylene in the fusion cutting of a steel material comprises 36 to 44 vol% inclusive of ethylene, with the balance being methane gas and inevitable impurities. Moreover, a method for fusion cutting of a steel material uses a combustible gas as the combustion gas and fusion cuts the steel material. The combustible gas in the fusion cutting method comprises 36 to 44 vol% inclusive of ethylene, with the balance being methane gas and inevitable impurities.
