Abstract:
A combustion apparatus C is provided with: a flame hole plate 2; a frame-like base 1 including a frame-like front wall part 10 on the back of which a perimeter edge part of the flame hole plate 2 is overlapped; a spark plug 6; and a protruding part 12 provided on the front wall part 10 of the frame-like base 1 and partially protruding from an inner perimeter part 10a of the front wall part 10 toward a surface portion of the flame hole plate 2. The spark plug 6 is located downstream of the protruding part 12 in a fuel gas flow direction and is opposed to the protruding part 12. The protruding part 12 provides a spark-generating target corresponding to the spark plug 6. According to such a configuration, it is possible to improve ignition performance and to achieve a decrease in manufacturing costs, for example, in an appropriate manner.
