A combustion chamber assembly comprises a combustor (1) and a combustion chamber (2) which is used for accommodating the combustor (1) and is opened upwardly. A front support (3) and a rear support (4) are provided within the combustion chamber (2), and the front support (3) and the rear support (4) respectively clamp the front and rear sides of the combustor (1). The front support (3) comprises a first base plate (31) extending vertically up and down and a first position limiting plate (32) which is connected to the upper end of the first base plate (31) and extends rearward. The rear support (4) comprises a second base plate (41) extending vertically up and down and a second position limiting plate (42) which is connected to the upper end of the second base plate (41) and extends frontward. A first cooling hole (321) is provided on the first position limiting plate (32), and/or a second cooling hole (421) is provided on the second position limiting plate. The temperature at the front and rear sides of the combustion chamber can be effectively reduced by utilizing the above structure. Further disclosed is a gas water heater that comprises the combustion chamber assembly.
