Abstract:
This combustion control system comprises: an action control unit that causes an ignition action to take place in an ignition coil; an electric quantity change timing detection unit that detects the timing of an electric quantity change in the ignition coil during a predetermined period after a spark plug starts the ignition action, said electric quantity change being different from a change caused by electric discharge of the spark plug; a combustion timing calculation unit that calculates a combustion timing at which a combustion ratio reaches a predetermined value on the basis of the electric quantity change timing; and a combustion timing determination unit that determines if the combustion timing is within a predetermined range.
