Abstract:
The present invention relates to a combustion device capable of efficiently burning nearly solid particulate fuel such as chaffs, wood chips, wood pellets, and PKS, which are inexpensive and can be easily obtained. For this purpose, the combustion device of the present invention comprises a combustion casing, a hollow transfer screw, and a heat outlet. The combustion casing has a main combustion chamber in which nearly solid particulate fuel supplied from a fuel supply hopper is ignited and burnt, and a secondary combustion chamber in which the fuel transferred from the main combustion chamber is finally burnt. The main combustion chamber and the secondary combustion chamber are sequentially formed. The combustion casing also has an outlet for discharging combustion waste after completing the final combustion in the secondary combustion chamber. The hollow transfer screw is arranged across the main combustion chamber and the secondary combustion chamber, and rotates via driving means so as to sequentially transfer the fuel. The hollow transfer screw has air outlet holes to discharge air supplied from an end thereof through a surface thereof so as to supply the air to the fuel. The heat outlet is in communication with upper portions of the main combustion chamber and of the secondary combustion chamber so as to discharge heat generated during the combustion of the fuel upward.
