Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a combustion device equipped with a burner 1 having a combustion plate 3 that comprises sheet metal and covers the opening surface 21 of a burner body 2, and also equipped with a combustion housing 4 having an engaging flange section 42 that is fastened to a body flange section 22 that surrounds the opening surface of the burner body, wherein it is possible to prevent overheating of the burner body caused by the transmission of heat from the combustion plate, without increasing the heat-insulation properties of packing 9 interposed between a combustion plate flange section 32 and the body flange section, by using a provided cooling means for cooling the combustion housing. [Solution] The engaging flange section 42 is fastened to the body flange section 22 while in direct contact with the combustion plate flange section 32. The packing 9 is provided with a combustion plate sealing section 91 that presses against the combustion plate flange section 32, and a combustion housing sealing section 92 that presses against an extending section 42a of the engaging flange section 42, which extends outside the combustion plate flange section 32.
