Abstract:
Provided is a combustion pressure sensor attached to a functional part installed in a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine, the combustion pressure sensor being characterized in that: a pressure receiving member that forms a pressure receiving surface for receiving combustion pressure and a pressure detection element that detects pressure from the pressure receiving surface are supported by a housing; the combustion pressure sensor is attached to the functional part by joining a connection member provided in at least one of the pressure receiving member and the housing to the functional part; and the connection member is configured from a joining portion joined to the functional part and a distortion absorbing portion that reduces the influence of distortion of the joining portion on the pressure receiving member or the housing. This configuration allows for a combustion pressure sensor that is capable of precise measurement of pressure since failures occurring in the pressure transmission system are prevented by the provision of a means for minimizing distortion of the sensor case of the combustion pressure sensor.
