Abstract:
Provided are a combustor and a combustion method with which it is possible to inhibit generation of nitrogen oxides. A combustor (10) provided with: a first wall (13A) forming a combustion chamber (12); a fuel injection nozzle (11) which is provided to the inlet (10A) of the combustor and which injects a fuel (F) containing nitrogen into the combustion chamber (12), the fuel injection nozzle (11) being configured so that the fuel (F) is injected in a direction towards the first wall (13A) in relation to the center axis (12C) of the combustion chamber; and an air introduction port (14) which is provided to the inlet (10A) of the combustor and which introduces air (A1) into the combustion chamber (12), the air introduction port (14) being configured so that the air (A1) flows along the first wall (13A). The combustor (10) is configured so that the fuel and the air introduced into the combustion chamber (12) are such that the equivalent ratio of the fuel relative to the air is 1.0 or above.
