Abstract:
An embodiment of this robot comprises a first base 331 constituting a torso part, a second base 332 constituting a head part, a connection mechanism 333 connecting the first base 331 and the second base 332, and a drive part driving the connection mechanism 333. The drive part includes motors 344-348 installed on the first base 331. The connection mechanism 333 includes link mechanisms 361-363 respectively driven by the motors 344-348 and positioned parallel to each other. Each link mechanism includes a drive link 371 which is fixed to the rotational shaft of the respective motor, and a driven link 372 connected to the drive link 371 via a first joint 374 and connected to the second base 332 via a second joint 376. The first joint 374 is an uniaxial hinge joint, and the second joint 376 is a universal joint.
