Abstract:

Provided is a commodity information providing system that can promptly provide specific information regarding a commodity to a consumer via a portable communication terminal in a manner excellent in appealing power. The commodity information providing system (10) includes: a WWW server (12); a supplier terminal (14) operated by a producer of a commodity (C) or a distributor; a portable communication terminal (16) operated by a consumer who consumes the commodity (C); and a network (18) that connects the WWW server (12), the supplier terminal (14), and the portable communication terminal (16). The WWW server (12) includes a database (12a) for storing commodity detail information input by an operation of the supplier terminal (14) by the producer or the distributor and a Web site (26) created on the basis of the commodity detail information, and has a function to provide the Web site (26) to the portable communication terminal (16) and a function to generate a marker (20) that corresponds to the commodity (C) and the accompanying commodity detail information. The portable communication terminal (16) includes: a camera (16a) that takes an image including the marker (20) attached to the commodity (C); and an application program including an extended reality sensing system that recognizes a pattern of the marker (20) taken by the camera (16a) and superimposes and displays, in the image (G), motion graphics (22) in which an explanation on the commodity (C) corresponding to the marker (20) is written.
