Abstract:
In a communication apparatus having a plurality of communication media, even when
an available communication environment dynamically varies, the occurrence of
a communication disconnection due to a switching of communication media can be
prevented. There are included a communication media monitoring/diagnosing part
(11) that periodically monitors the statuses of communication media possessed by
the local terminal and notifies a transmission destination terminal of the monitoring
result of the monitored communication media; an association database (14) that
holds association information including at least information of both the IP
addresses used for communication and the identifiers used for identifying the
foregoing communication media and associated with those IP addresses; an association
transmitting part (12) that generates a transport packet to which the association
information has been added; and an association receiving part (13) that extracts
the association information from the received packet and updates, based on the
extracted association information, the information stored by the association
database (14).
