Abstract:
An energy controller (10) is a communication apparatus that transmits, to network household electrical appliances (11a-11c), signals to be used for establishing transmission/reception of data, thereby performing the transmission/reception of the data. The energy controller (10) comprises: a power saving control unit (23) that determines a transmission period such that the larger a differential power value, which is obtained by subtracting a total power consumption value of power-consuming devices including the network household electrical appliances (11a-11c) from the value of a power suppliable to the power-consuming devices, is, the longer the transmission period of the signals is; and a wireless communication IF (22) that transmits, to the network household electrical appliances (11a-11c), the signals including information indicating the transmission period so as to activate the network household electrical appliances (11a-11c) in a period that is in accordance with the transmission period.
