Abstract:
A communication apparatus (slave 107), which implements a time synchronization with a communication apparatus (master 100) on the basis of a time synchronization message periodically transmitted from the master apparatus (100), comprises a CPU (304) that puts, into a transmission request message to request the transmission of the time synchronization message, a requested transmission rate being a requested value of the transmission rate of the time synchronization message and that transmits the transmission request message to the communication apparatus (master 100). The CPU (304) calculates, on the basis of the time synchronization message, a degree of accuracy of time synchronization being a difference in time between the master apparatus and the local apparatus (slave 107), then determines, on the basis of the degree of accuracy of time synchronization, whether the requested transmission rate should be changed, and, if it is determined that the requested transmission rate should be changed, then transmits, to the communication apparatus (master 100), a transmission request message that includes the requested transmission rate as changed.
