Abstract:
Provided is a communication cable in which the formation of cracks that lead to a deterioration in shielding performance, in a film-like noise shielding material including a metal layer, is suppressed. A communication cable 1 comprises a core wire 2 including a conductor 21 and an insulating layer 22 covering the outer periphery of the conductor 21, and a film-like shield 3 enclosing the outer periphery of the core wire 2 in longitudinally attached manner, wherein: the film-like shield 3 includes a metal base layer 32 consisting of a metal layer, and a stripe material 33, which is a thread-like or strip-like member that is attached hermetically to the metal base layer 32; and a plurality of the stripe materials 33 are disposed extending in an axial direction A1 of the core wire 2, spaced apart in a circumferential direction A2 of the core wire.
