Abstract:
The present invention relates to a bidirectional communication channel between a robotic lawnmower (2) and a charging station (6) for data communication between the robotic lawnmower (2) and the charging station (6). The communication channel comprises a first interface (28) provided on the robotic lawnmower (2) and a second interface (38) provided on the charging station (6). The first and second interface (28; 38) are connected to each other through charging contacts (19; 50) and configured to communicate data in a Direct Current, DC-balanced way. Each interface (28; 38) is provided with an inductor (52; 54) in a charging power path between the charging station (6) and the robotic lawnmower (2). Each inductor (52; 54) having a high impedance for enabling a high data transmission rate for frequencies above 50 kHz.
