Abstract:

A communication control method in which a sender terminal station can perform communication without any special processing even if the recipient terminal station is in a sleep mode when the sender terminal station tries to send an asynchronous packet to the recipient terminal station. A terminal station sends to a control station a polling request message including the station ID of the control station, and the control station that has received the polling request message confirms the operation status of the sender terminal station designated by the station ID. If the sender terminal station is judged to be in a sleep mode, the control station sends a sleep cancellation request to the sender terminal station and performs polling of the sender terminal station that has send a polling request after the control station confirms that the mode of the recipient terminal station has changed to an active mode.
