Abstract:
This communication control method employs a relay user device for relaying communications between a base station and a remote user device. This communication control method includes: establishing a connection between the remote user device and the relay user device; and performing a random access procedure for establishing a connection between the remote user device and the base station. The performance of the random access procedure includes a proxy operation whereby at least some of the operations performed by a Medium Access Control (MAC) layer in the random access procedure are performed by the relay user device instead of the remote user device.
