Abstract:
Provided are a communication controller and communication method for exchanging messages with electric vehicle supply equipment, and an electric vehicle comprising the communication controller. The communication controller comprises: a communication unit provided to be connectable to the electric vehicle supply equipment by means of a first communication channel; and a control unit connected to the communication unit by means of a second communication channel. The control unit determines a target polling time on the basis of a value configured in a time-out flag associated with a request message when the request message is transmitted to the communication unit at a first point. Then, the control unit periodically tests at every target polling time whether or not a response message from the electric vehicle supply equipment is received by the communication unit during a standby period from the first point to a second point in which a time-out time associated with the request message elapses.
