The present application provides a communication device and an antenna switching method. The communication device comprises a plurality of Wi-Fi antennas, a control circuit, a Wi-Fi chip, a peripheral chip, and a switch circuit. An output terminal of the peripheral chip is electrically connected to a first input terminal of the control circuit to send a matching success message indicating a successful match between the peripheral chip and an external device to the control circuit. A first input terminal and a second input terminal of the switch circuit are electrically connected to a signal terminal of the Wi-Fi chip and a signal terminal of the peripheral chip, respectively, and each output terminal of the switch circuit is electrically connected to one Wi-Fi antenna. An output terminal of the control circuit is electrically connected to a control terminal of the switch circuit to control, by means of the switch circuit, the Wi-Fi chip to be electrically connected to a first preset antenna and to control the peripheral chip to be electrically connected to a second preset antenna. The Wi-Fi chip controls the communication device to perform Wi-Fi communication by means of the first preset antenna, and the peripheral chip controls the external device to communicate with the communication device by means of the second preset antenna. Idle Wi-Fi antennas are reasonably utilized, and various low latency scenarios are met.
