Abstract:
Provided are a communication device, a distance measuring device, and an authentication method in the communication device with which confidentiality of communication is improved. This communication device includes: a sharing processing unit for performing a process for sharing, with other devices, data relating to a first frequency and a second frequency that are used for communication with the other devices; a transmission/reception unit for transmitting and receiving high-frequency signals to and from the other devices; and an authentication unit that authenticates the other devices as legitimate other devices when the authentication unit has received, from the other devices, a high-frequency signal of the first frequency after the transmission/reception unit transmits the high frequency signal of the first frequency to the other devices, and has also received, from the other devices, a high-frequency signal of the second frequency after the transmission/reception unit transmits the high-frequency signal of the second frequency to the other devices.
