An arrangement method for parallel backplates of a communication device. The method comprises: arranging, at intervals, a plurality of backplates with front faces thereof being parallel, and making side faces of the plurality of backplates face towards a switch plate and a service plate to be docked; arranging one or more switch plates with side faces thereof perpendicular to the side faces of the backplates, and making the side faces of the switch plates respectively dock with the side faces of the plurality of backplates; and arranging one or more service plates with side faces thereof parallel to the side faces of the backplates, and making the side faces of the service plates respectively dock with the side faces of the plurality of backplates. The method of the technical solution of the present application has a simple layout, and is easy to implement. The arrangement number of backplates, service plates and switch plates can be selected according to a particular product. A connector is arranged on a side face of a backplate, so that the connector extends from the planar arrangement of a traditional backplate to the depth direction arrangement of the backplate. Thus, the space is increased, the extensibility is enhanced, and the ventilation performance of an air passage is enhanced.
