Abstract:

This technology relates to a communication device, a communication method, and a program which make it possible to rapidly perform short-distance wireless communication with various communication partners the models and services of which are different. This communication device is provided with: a first short-distance wireless communication unit that performs communication using first short-distance wireless communication with a communication partner; an acquisition unit that, prior to the communication using the first short-distance wireless communication, acquires identification information reported from the communication partner using second short-distance wireless communication; and a control unit that controls the first short-distance wireless communication unit and the acquisition unit, wherein the control unit is configured to acquire a parameter file corresponding to the acquired identification information, and on the basis of the parameter file, set a parameter in the first short-distance wireless communication for the first short-distance wireless communication unit. This technology is applicable, for example, to an NFC device and an NFC reader.
