This communication device includes multiple communication functions for connecting to an upstream network using different communication channels. The communication device includes a communication control unit for controlling communications with another communication device to be connected to the upstream network via the communication device and a reporting unit for reporting, to the other communication device, information related to the communication channels and used for switching the communication channels, before the switching.
