Abstract:
The present invention reduces the impact from the load of encryption processing while maintaining the safety of encrypted communication. To this end, a communication device (100) is equipped with: an encryption method selection unit (101) for selecting encryption methods which entail different processing loads for the encryption processing used in encrypted communication, according to the synchronization accuracy, which expresses the quantity of times at which it is possible to change the encryption method to be used in encrypted communication between a given device and another device; and an encryption processing unit (102) for subjecting the communication data between the given device and the other device to encryption processing and/or decryption processing by using the selected encryption method.
