This communication device is provided with a reception unit that receives a power command message from a management server via a communication line; and a transmission unit that transmits, to the management server, predetermined messages having predetermined formats. The transmission unit transmits, to the management server, a message selected from among the predetermined messages as a confirmation message for confirming the communication status of the communication line.
