Title:
COMMUNICATION DEVICE AND COMMUNICATION METHOD
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2018/131520
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present art relates to a communication device and a communication method which allow increased variation of the mode of connection between electronic apparatuses. The device includes: a mechanism to be detected by a first electronic apparatus when the first electronic apparatus and a second electronic apparatus, which receives a baseband signal output by the first electronic apparatus, are connected, said mechanism corresponding to a mechanism, which is built in the second electronic apparatus, and being connected to the first electronic apparatus; a connection part for connecting said mechanism to be detected to the first electronic apparatus when the connection between the first electronic apparatus and the second electronic apparatus is detected; and a millimeter wave generation unit for generating a millimeter wave band signal obtained by frequency-converting the baseband signal output by the first electronic apparatus into a signal in a higher frequency band than the baseband signal, and the millimeter wave generation unit generates a millimeter wave band signal when the connection part is connected and the baseband signal is input. The present art can be applied, for example, to connection that is recognized by a Universal Serial Bus (USB) host to have been established between the Universal Serial Bus (USB) host and a USB device.
