Abstract:
Provided is a communication device for connecting to the internet without using an input/output device. This communication device is provided with: a first connecting unit for connecting to a first appliance; an acquiring unit for acquiring setting information for connecting via the first appliance to a second appliance acting as a router; and a second connecting unit for connecting to the second appliance on the basis of the setting information. A code sequence is generated from an initial value shared with the first appliance, using a code generator common to the first appliance. Then, network identification information extracted from a signal received from the first appliance is searched for in the code sequence, and network authentication information is clipped out from a prescribed offset position relative to the matching location.
