Abstract:
Provided are a communication device, a communication system, and a message arbitration method which can suppress the transmission of a message from being hindered continuously over a long period. The communication device according to the present embodiment, which transmits and receives a message with another device connected to a shared communication line, is provided with: a calculation unit which calculates, for a message that should be transmitted, a margin time to a time when the transmission of the message should be completed; a transmission unit which attaches, to the message, information according to the margin time calculated by the calculation unit and transmits the message; and an arbitration unit which arbitrates in an overlapping transmission of messages to the communication line on the basis of the information attached to the message, wherein the arbitration unit performs arbitration for prioritizing a message of a shorter margin time with respect to a plurality of messages for which transmission to the communication line overlap.
