Abstract:
Provided are a communication device and a communication system which make it possible to ascertain the status of communication defect caused by noise and the like. The communication device (1) is provided with a device body (100) installed in a facility. The device body (100) includes a first communication unit (101) and a display unit (107). The first communication unit (101) is connected to any of a plurality of electric outlets with which the facility is fitted, and performs power line carrier communication using a power line as a transfer path. The display unit (107), on the basis of the communication state of the first communication unit (101), displays installation information indicating whether the installed location of the device body (100) at the facility is appropriate.
