Abstract:

A communication device provided with a first wireless communication unit, a second wireless communication unit, a channel selection unit, and a channel management unit. The channel management unit extracts, from a packet received by the first wireless communication unit, and stores a channel that another communication device is using for communication with an instrument. The channel selection unit defines the priority sequence of channel selection under conditions defined so as to account for interference between channels, selects channels according to the priority sequence, and thereby determines the channel to be used by the second wireless communication unit. It is thereby possible to determine the channel to be changed in a relatively short time when interference occurs, and suppress an increase in the number of types of channels to be used while avoiding interference.
