Abstract:
Disclosed is a communication device whereby, in particular, variations in resonant frequency and maximum communication distance can be reduced in comparison to existing devices. The disclosed communication device (10) is provided with a tag (11) for wirelessly communicating with an external device, and a magnetic member (14) facing the tag (11) from the side opposite the external device. The magnetic member (14) is formed from a layered structure comprising a high-μʹ layer (12) provided on the tag (11) side and a low-μʹ layer (13) that is thicker than the high-μʹ layer (12) and further from the tag (11) than the high-μʹ layer (12) is. The real part μʹ of the complex relative magnetic permeability of the low-μʹ layer is lower than that of the high-μʹ layer (12).
