Abstract:
The present invention relates to a communication device which performs an operation to prohibit the reporting of errors in order to prevent errors being reported to a remote monitoring system while maintenance work is being carried out. The objective of the present invention is to prevent the prohibition of error reporting remaining in place inadvertently as a result of a user forgetting to implement a permission operation while error reporting is still prohibited.
In a communication device 11 provided with an operation unit DIP for switching between a permitted state in which error information relating to a monitored system is permitted to be transmitted to a management device 6, and a prohibited state in which error information is prohibited from being transmitted, the configuration is such that after a prescribed length of time has elapsed after the state has been switched to the prohibited state by operating the operation unit DIP, the state is automatically switched to the permitted state without operating the operation unit DIP.
