Title:
COMMUNICATION DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2023/228705
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present technology relates to a communication device that enables a stable communication even with an antenna having an electrically reduced size. This communication device comprises: a circular polarized antenna that is composed of a first antenna element and a second antenna element disposed orthogonal to the first antenna element; and a phase shifter that is composed of a capacitor connected to the first antenna element and an inductor connected to the second antenna element. The impedance of the antenna is expressed by R + jX, the capacitance of the capacitor is a value calculated from C = 1/\{πf(R + X)\}, and the inductance of the inductor is a value calculated from L = (R – X)/(4πf), where R is resistance, j is imaginary unit, X is reactance, f is the center frequency of the antenna, C is capacitance, and L is inductance. The present technology can be applied, for example, to a communication device installed in seawater.
