Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to the field of communications. Provided are a communication management method and apparatus. In the method, an information update can be sent to a first network element by means of a server, wherein the information update comprises satellite coverage information and/or a communication parameter for at least one user equipment (UE), the communication parameter comprises at least one of mobility information and electric quantity information of the UE, and the satellite coverage information and/or the communication parameter are/is used for assisting a network in implementing communication management on the UE. By means of the solution of the present disclosure, an AS can provide satellite coverage information, mobility information of a UE or electric quantity information of the UE to a core network by means of an SCEF, and the network implements communication management and control on the UE on this basis, thereby enhancing the flexibility of communication control on the UE.
