Abstract:
Embodiments of the present application provide a communication method, apparatus, and system. The method comprises: determining a first sub-area corresponding to a terminal device according to area configuration information of a first cell of the network device and location information of the terminal device, the area configuration information being used for indicating information of multiple sub-areas corresponding to the first cell, and the multiple sub-areas comprising the first sub-area; and obtaining orbital information corresponding to the first sub-area. According to the present solution, sub-areas are introduced, and the terminal device only needs to obtain the orbital information corresponding to the sub-area where the terminal device is located, thus reducing the quantity of orbital information obtained by the terminal device, thereby reducing the overhead of the terminal device.
