Abstract:
Provided in the embodiments of the present application is a communication method. The method is executed by an access network device, and comprises: acquiring first identifier information and first tracking area (TA) information, wherein the first identifier information is used for identifying a cell corresponding to a first device, and the first TA information is TA information of a cell covered by the first device; and configuring a first identifier and a first TA for the first device, wherein the first identifier and the first TA are irrelevant to an access position of the first device. On the basis of the technical solution, it is possible to prevent terminal devices under a first device from collectively implementing a tracking area update (TAU) process, thereby alleviating a signaling storm, and reducing signaling overheads, thus ensuring the continuity of services of the terminal devices.
