Abstract:
Disclosed are a communication method and apparatus. The method comprises: a terminal receiving indication information from a network device, the indication information being used for indicating uplink transmission configuration; and the terminal, according to the indication information, determining whether a time domain symbol where an uplink reference signal is located permits carrier data, generating an uplink signal to be transmitted, and sending the uplink signal to the network device. It can be seen therefrom that, in the embodiment of the present application, whether the time domain symbol where an uplink reference signal is located permits carrier data can be determined by the terminal according to the indication information, and in this way, in contrast to an uplink in an LTE system only sending an uplink reference signal in a time domain symbol based on an agreement, the embodiment of the present invention has greater flexibility, thereby being able to better adapt to single carrier wave technology or multi-carrier wave technology used by an uplink.
