Abstract:
A communication method and an apparatus. In the communication method, a terminal device receives first indication information from a network device, the first indication information indicating first time-frequency resources that carry downlink data, and a time-frequency resource used to carry a demodulation reference signal for demodulating the downlink data being a second time-frequency resource; if the second time-frequency resource overlaps with a third time-frequency resource in the time domain, then the terminal device receives downlink data from the network device on a fourth time-frequency resource, the third time-frequency resource comprising one or more of a time-frequency resource used for carrying a synchronization signal, a time-frequency resource that carries a broadcast channel block, or a reserved time-frequency resource, and the fourth time-frequency resource being a time-frequency resource in the first time-frequency resources that is located outside of a first frequency range, the frequency region occupied by the first frequency range being the same as that of the third time-frequency resource. The terminal device is able to only receive downlink data in a frequency-domain range on which the network device is able to send a demodulation signal, and thus the accuracy of reception of downlink data by the terminal device can be effectively improved.
