Abstract:
A communication method and apparatus. The method comprises: a terminal device receiving first configuration information from a network device, wherein the first configuration information is used to determine a first random access resource at a first coverage enhancement level; the terminal device determining a second coverage enhancement level; and the terminal device sending a first random access preamble to the network device according to the second coverage enhancement level and the first random access resource. By means of the method and apparatus in the embodiments of the present application, the random access of a terminal device can be realized.
