Abstract:

Disclosed in embodiments of the present application is a communication method, The method comprises: a terminal device sends a first message to a network device, the first message comprising one or more listening frequency indices of the one or more first tracking areas that the terminal device hears within a first preset time period; and the terminal device receives a second message containing first registration area information from the network device. Here, first registration information is determined by the one or more listening frequency indices. In using the embodiment of the present application, the accuracy of the registration area information obtained by the terminal device may be enhanced, thereby preventing the waste of communication resources of the terminal device caused by the inaccuracy of registration area information, and improving the utilization rate and practicality of communication resources of a communication network.
