Abstract:
The present application provides a communication method and apparatus, which relate to the field of communication technology, and can solve the problem of high communication resource overheads. Said method comprises: a terminal sending a configuration request message to a network device; and after that, the terminal receiving multicast configuration information from the network device, and then receiving multicast service data from the network device according to the multicast configuration information. The configuration request message is used for requesting the multicast configuration information. The method is applied in the transmission process of multicast configuration information.
