Abstract:
Provided in the present application are a communication method and apparatus, which enable a network to be aware of computing power resources. The method comprises: a network storage function network element receiving a first registration request message from a first user plane function network element, and the network storage function network element sending a first registration response message to the first user plane function network element, wherein the first registration request message is used for requesting that first computing power information is registered to the network storage function network element; the first registration request message comprises the first computing power information, and the first computing power information is used for indicating the computing power of a first application program; and the first registration response message is used for indicating that the first computing power information has been successfully registered.
